Generation M for MELA

MELA DAY SIX, 18 MARCH 2011

It is another beautiful morning at the Dead Sea...

... and Brice Bay (CEO, En Veritas Group) and Terri Murphy (President, Terri Murphy Communications) are up bright and early to present on building an effective internet strategy, using social media, and targeting content to "Generation X" and "Generation Y."

Gamil and others representatives of Generation M-for-MELA lend their ears to facilitator Meade Sutterfield.

Pleasure in exchanging ideas is one of the attributes of Gen M.

Terri Murphy shares ideas with Shamma. Shamma shares a box of cookies with Terri and Julie Skaggs. Generosity, both intellectual and social, is another characteristic of Gen M.

Gen M is creative, independent, and likes sitting in the sun. Thanks to some out-of-the-box thinking, Breakout Group 4 is out of its room and enjoying the air on the patio.

Lunchtime holds a special place in the hearts of Gen M. On Fridays. the hotel lays on a chocolate fountain and fondue for dessert. Some people can barely restrain their emotions.

Free afternoon! Gen M loves free afternoons. One party accepted Lama's invitation to visit the Ghor Al Mazra'a community and learn about the Zikra Initiative exchange-tourism program.

On the program: learning how to grind wheat, bake bread, make eyeliner, weave baskets, and create ornaments from recycled materials.

MELA thanks the people of Ghor Al Mazra'a for their hospitality.

After visiting the community, Lama led the group on a hike through a gorgeous ravine. Falling into the river was an optional extra.

While the rural group went hiking, the city slickers headed for the bright lights of Amman, under Firas' inspired guidance.

Although guests are assured that the streets of Amman are safe, better safe than sorry. Tom and Firas suit up in preparation for the evening.

Shopping for bread and spices: Hitham, Ibrahim, Radwa, Nancy

The shawerma (gyro sandwich) restaurant in downtown Amman whose name was invented by Firas. Soughit, Firas, Nancy and Haya photographize in front of it. Another wonderful day of Melaizing has drawn to a close.
