Lost at Sea Telling Stories

March 6th, 2015

Most people day dream of past and future stories, and today we had story time with Jim. Jim told us some life changing stories and taught us the art of telling effective, value-based stories as a way of communicating more effectively and with greater impact.

We then had a ‘pen and paper’ group survival exercise called Lost at Sea. All the participants were sailing and got lost. All the participants managed to save 15 undamaged items and now they have to priorities the items. It is a team building activity that encourages interaction and teamwork, the chances of ‘survival’ depend on the ability to rank the salvaged items in relative order of importance.
